Fostoria Early Childhood Center
Fostoria, OH
McCall Sharp Architecture provided full architectural services for this new 18,600 square foot facility that is a multi-agency complex design for the health, welfare and education of young children and their families. The structure will house facilities for the Seneca County General Health District, Fostoria Community Hospital, Help Me Grow Early Intervention and Head Start. Due to the history of Fostoria as a Railroad Hub, the design of the Early Childhood Center took on the theme of a railroad depot. This became a unique overall design approach for both the interior and exterior offering the ability to create both playfulness and identity to the structure. The facility has eight classrooms, a large muscle play area, full kitchen, offices, medical and health offices and a multi-purpose room.
